Journal entry 1
- What was Hubble’s involvement in space research?
Hubble studied the position of dark lines within the spectrum of light emmitted by a star or galaxy and studied the speed they were travelling
- What does the telescope do?
provides unprecedented deep and clear views of the Universe, ranging from our own solar system to extremely remote fledgling galaxies forming not long after the Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago.
- Where can the telescope be found?
The telescope can be found in space thravelling at 5 miles per second, taking 97 minutes for one complete orbit around the world.
What is Hubble’s law?
Distant stars and galaxies are receeding from us, and the further away they are the faster they are travelling.
