Journal Entry Week 3
- Analyse why red sunsets can sometimes be more impressive when there is more dust or pollution in the air than usual.
They are more impresive when there is no dust or pollution in the air because the light rays refracts and can discolour the light off the pollution and dust particles which prevents the full effect of the sunset.
- Describe what happens inside water droplets to cause a rainbow and explain how you can tell whether a rainbow is a primary or secondary.
the white light goes through the falling water droplets then it reflects and refracts to cause the spectrum to appear.
You can tell if a rainbow is primary or secondary by the colours they are in from top to bottom. A primary rainbow will have red on top and a secondary rainbow will have violet on top.

The things that influence my issues relating to my life would definatley be my religion, family, friends and the way i have been brought up, to be the person that I am.
No I dont compare the values presented in the media to those in the bible because the bible was written a long time ago and some of the values of the bible when it was written doesnt really apply to todays life
This project hasn’t really made me examine my values because the social justice issue that im researching doesnt really apply to me

JOURNAL ENTRY WEEK 2
Investigate the two types of sight defect- long-sightedness and short sightedness.
Find the following information:
- what causes the defect
the eyeball is too long compared with the focusing power of the cornea and lens. This means light rays from objects in the distance are focused in front of the retina because they’ve been bent too much by the cornea and lens.
Long-sightedness (hypermetropia)
the eyeball is too short when compared with the focusing power of the cornea and lens. This means light rays from near objects are focused behind the retina because they haven’t been bent enough by the cornea and lens.
- the symptoms displayed
Short-sighted: Objects in the distance appear blurry
Long-sighted: Headache, eye strain, blurry vision when concerntrating on close objects
- propose what sort of lens may be used to correct each vision.
Long-sighted: Convex lenses
Short sighted: Concave lenses

Elizabethan Society
The Elizabethan society was the goldenage in english History, this is when Shakespere wote most of his plays and poems. The Elizabethan era is the time related to queen Elizabeth in the years 1558-1603.
The Globe Theatre
The globe theatre is the theatre that most of Shakesperes plays are believed to be performed. The globe theatre is situated in London and was built in 1599 and was tragically destroyed by a fire in 1613 and was rebuilt on the same site in 1614 and was closed in 1642.
The Kings Chamberlain men
The kings chamberlains men was the company that owned the Globe theatre. That company was Shakesperes company that he worked for.
“The reorganized company performed at the Theatre and the Curtain; in 1599 they moved to the newly built Globe. By 1600 they had emerged as the leading theatrical company in London, and in 1603 became the King’s Men under a royal patent from James I. The company continued successfully until the closing of the theaters in 1642. ”

Relevance of plays to 21st century
I have found Shakespere plays are not relevent to the 21st century because they use old english and people dont really want to watch 2 people fall in love and die because the way the plays happen does not really happen in the 21st century. But some people still love shakespere plays and really enjoy watching them.
What are the typical features that all Shakespeare plays must include?
The typical Shakespere plays include Girl Characters, props, lighting, action, death, love and romance.
